About Us

Antonio Caballero Barrada was born in Puebla del Maestre in 1956 and lived there for over 20 years before settling in Stockport Manchester (UK) in 1979 with his wife Sharon and two daughters, there he currently owns a business in the computer industry. He has a wealth of knowledge about the village, surrounding area and the Extremadura  region and is very keen and interested in promoting the place were he was born and encouraging the discovery of the region,  with all that it has to offer, to those who are interested in experiencing the real and unadulterated Spain.

Colin MacAlister was born in Manchester in 1954. Currently living in Marple, Stockport with wife Nicola and three daughters. He is currently a director of Metro, the local taxi company, and has been a local councillor in Stockport for the last 25 years. He has a passion for everything rural, natural, and traditional. Together with Antonio, have formed The Rural Spain, a company that specialises in promoting and developing holiday property in rural Spain for those tourists that wish to experience something different to the standard destination with just beach, sun and sangria.
